What a neat word "galder" was...it seemed that it could be any part of
speech and the true definition (#2) didn't seem to fit it at all. But
galder is a charm or incantation according to OED.

In fact, I was hoping for a while for a D0, which would have been my
first. Thanks a heap, Bill Hirst, for guessing it. But I did get my
very first D1, which is pretty close. For me.

Voting was very tight until the end when Chris Carson's incoherent
talk pulled ahead of Paul Keating's mumps, six natural points to five
natural. So it's your deal, Chris. My sympathies.

Actually it was me, or rather I! Sorry!

Best wishes,

I can't say I didn't see this coming with the last minute rush to
incoherency. Everyone must have watched the debates before voting. I guess
it's a good thing I did some list replenishment a couple of weeks ago. A
new word will be along as soon as the Monday morning office routine will
allow.

I suppose that means I don't get two points for choosing the correct
def?
