View Full Version : [Dixonary] Round 1869 - New word: HAVILDAR

Sorry for the delay...I had unavoidable business this morning. Still, I can't
say I didn't see this one coming.

Barring (or perhaps Barrsing would be more accurate) too many DQs, the word for
round 1869 shall be:

+
++
+++
++++
+++++ HAVILDAR
++++
+++
++
+

or havildar, case being irrelevant. If you do know the word, notify me of your DQ
status as soon as possible.

Please send your made-up, fictitious, fallacious or hilarious definitions to me
by email at hello * isanybodyhome.com before the deadline, below. If you're new
to the game and are interested in playing, do NOT look up or google the word.
Instead, read the rules in the Coryphaeus Yahoogroups file area or the sticky
messages in tapcis.com's The Parlor section.

There is the special circumstance of the deadline falling on Christmas Eve or
Day, which may mean that some players will not be able to participate, being
preoccupied with other activities or away from the computer (heaven forbid!) If
I have too few definitions at the deadline (say, fewer than 14 or so), I will
extend it 24 hours.

The deadline for definition submissions shall be:

EST: 12:30am Monday 25-Dec-2007
PST: 9:30pm Monday 24-Dec-2007
UTC: 2007-12-25 0530 Tuesday

Uh, I think that's TUESDAY the 25th for the EST deadline, no? (I stared at
that for several minutes, sensing that something was wrong, before I
finally figured out WHAT was amisss.)

You are correct. It should be Tuesday. I have to stop doing the deadline dates
by hand.
