Chris -

These look good. I'll venture to try -

7. A growth of lichens and small ferns.

and

18. 1. That portion of Siberia bordering the Sea of Okhotsk, including
the Yamchatka peninsula. 2. One of the primitive tribes of that area.

Thanks,

It's a nice def, Guerri. At least I assume you'll get a couple of dealer
points for it!

We seem to have attracted a gremlin, who worked mischief on Nancy's entry
last time and has it in for you this round.

I don't know how that happened as I THOUGHT I had carefully reviewed the
defs. 2 Dealer Points to Guerri and my profound apologies.

With no idea of which is correct I'll vote for the Tagolog #1 because I
recently have met several very charming Tagolog speakers, and #11 sounds
delicious, although I doubt that the folks along the New Orleans area who
love crawfish would call a dish "sunga."

Thanks for the points, and don't worry about it. It's the goofy season.
I'm in the process of preparing holiday cards and am asking myself why I
send out so many. Especially to people I keep in touch with all year
long! It would probably be better to take out the phone book, choose 10
people at random, and send cards to them. It could be a new tradition,
world wide.
