Nice work. Why doesn't that surprise me<G>?

Thanks, Dan, but there sure is a limit to what you can do without a very long lens and man oh man you shoulda seen the professionals out there with their very very VERY long lenses. As-long-as-your-arm type long lenses...

I'd be jealous except that the police had blocked off nearby parking and you had to walk about a mile and a half to get to this particular location... and it was a lot easier to do that with my gear than with their gear!

Indeed! My current camera-of-choice weighs about 11 ounces and the zoom is 38-380mm (35mm equivalent). I doubt that the ultimate image quality approaches yours, but in an 11 ounce package this has its attractions!

That's a nice range -- 38-380mm. Mine is a lot shorter than that, but 8 mp is very nice...

Nice pix, Judy. You seem a photography professional.

Well, I love fireworks, too. :D

I saw some great ones at Huntington Beach, but there were 400,000 people (so says a cop I was complaining to) there in this Surf City, and we spent an entire hour sitting in a parking garage as part of our short trip home. (Imagine four parking garage floors of people yelling and honking their horns...) All in all, we had a good day, 'though.

The Surfaris played a show there on the HB beach and performed their hit "Wipe Out"! Boomer heaven.

Thanks, Carolyn! You're too kind. I'm just an amateur who has fun with a camera.

Ouch. That's painful even to think of...

Lovely pictures Judy. The Bomb Burst 2 picture is now making my Desktop look good.

Thanks

John
