Here are 18 definitions, only one of which is real. Vote for TWO
definitions, as a public forum message (in reply to this one), before
the deadline, which is Tuesday, October 9 at

6:00 p.m. EDT
3:00 p.m. PDT

New players are welcome, even if you didn't enter a definition this

1: sub audible.

2: a shady garden.

3: reduced passion.

4: [printing] an underscore.

5: A type of engraving tool.

6: weak-willed; lacking willpower

7: a frieze or bas-relief below eye level.

8: the topmost layer of paint on an oil painting

9: [Arch.] a decorative border under a pedestal.

10: a sensory cell that responds to low levels of stimulation.

11: _Myth._ a lake nymph [Gk, fm _hypo_ beneath + _limne-_ lake, marsh]

12: a square-section hollow brick used to form the tubes in a hypocaust

13: ornate illumination at the bottom of a page, typ. on hand-scriven works.

14: In theatrical design, the arch that frames a stage, separating it
