The winner of round 1839 is Paul Keating, whose definition "a basket; an
unspecified quantity [MDu corf, curf ad. L corbis 'basket']" received 5
votes, plus 2 points for guessing the correct definition.

There were 2 players in coveted second place with 5 points each: John Barrs
and Scott Crom.

This leads me to a question, which I will post in another message because . . .
the true definition was 17: "miner's basket, trolley or wagon."
(Forthright's Phrontistery (and others!)), which 4 perceptive players
guessed.
