Wow. Sometimes none are believable. THIS time, a whole lot of them are.

Nice arrangement, too! ;-)

Oh. Gotta vote. I'll try #14 and #19, because they DON'T sound right.

Hi Judy,

A fine collection. I'll award the authors of these great defs:

> 3. a raven [also corb or corbie].

> 7. the lint-like detritus resulting from tearing microperforated
> paper.

Even if it's not actually corf, I feel that there should be a word for #7.

Best, Hugo

An interesting collection, and the formatting looks fine from here.
I'll try a couple powers of two:

8. waste from a joinery works, consisting of sawdust, shavings and small
offcuts

and

16. trimmings from woodworking [Now rare].

Thanks,

Chuck

I guess it depends on the email program. Apparently mine shortened the lines a little more than Google Groups does so I had extra short lines.

I think 6 and 18 are unlikely.

There are a lot of likely looking candidates there but I'll go with 5 and
13.

Looked good to me!

There are lots of 'bits' and 'shreds' so I'll avoid those - which still leaves me with a fair few so I'll go for the two baskets,
#13 and #17 please
