FWIW, a couple things I noticed about jscript with this board software:
1. thread view seems to require javascript
2. switching to linear view (e.g.) seems to require javascript
3. posting a quick reply does not seem to need javascript
but I suspect posting new threads needs javascript, didn't try without it tho'.

P.S. this may or may not affect any prospective users, but I sometimes use a minimalist browser (e.g. LYNX) to read Yahoo groups while I am listening to streaming voice because loading a browser like Firefox or IE breaks the stream, and such a strategy might not work here.
