I had a brief moment of panic early on, when John Barr's submitted a
definition almost exactly like the real one. Some unseen force was
still dogging the round, though. I managed to misplace Bob Stone's
definition and did not notice until a couple of late votes picked it.
Then there was a problem with undeliverable messages for postings to
the forum.

Our next dealer is Nancy Shepherdson, who said, "If I should happen by
some chance to get the deal, there may be some delays although I could
do it." She earned 5 natural points for her moneylender, clearly
ahead of the 3 players in coveted second place with 3 points each:
Tony Abell, Russ Heimerson and Bob Stone.

I blame all errors on 1) Friday the 13th., 2) Too many videogames, and
3) Twinkies.

The true definition was 15:
"of or relating to the liver" (Phonistery.info)
, which no-one guessed.

Congratulations on your D0

(However, I regret it had to be this round <grin> --- by the way, re my submission; the greek for liver is 'epar which by normal
philological rules could become hepar (as in latin - hepatic) and so eventually on to jecor hence my guess definition - which I now
see is exactly correct - including my invented etymology (Century Dictionary Online)

Congratulations on your D0.

JECORARY was a very clever choice, because I looked at the liver def
and thought it couldn't possibly be right, as it would be hep-
something. I was wrong, as Johnny has explained!

Thank you all, but I feel I don't deserve the D0 it after JohnnyB
"guessed" the correct definition way before the voting started. Maybe
one of us is psychic.
