I do not spend much time watching “American Idol,” so may be being unfair, but I do believe that is the first time I have seen Simon Cowle like anyone!

K, I have never watched American Idol. I figured this video must be some kind of British production.

I'm guessing that Simon Cowle is the guy sitting on the woman's left (in other words on the right side of the picture as we viewed the three of them)!?!

He was the male juror of the three.

Enjoy -- Connie's Performance (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=En0A8KGMgq8)What has happened to Simon Cowle? This is the guy who says everybody's awful! And he says this kid is fantastic??? What, he's off his meds (or maybe ON them)?

What has happened to Simon Cowle? ... he says this kid is fantastic???

Judy, He clearly wasn't alone in his judgement. The other panelists seemed to be genuinely touched. Some of the audience gave a standing ovation. Someone told me they thought this video was the best ever on the Internet???

I had a somewhat emotional admiration myself to Connie's performance.

She's a very good little singer for 6 years old. Most kids that age have trouble maintaining pitch, not to mention that they are often far too shy to get up and sing in front of even a small audience. This kid had good pitch, good breath control, and quite a lot of poise for someone so young, but she was also very natural -- not one of those show biz kids who seems more like a cartoon than a real kid.

She reminds me a lot of my 5-year-old niece Christina, but Christina still has all of her teeth, and she's way too shy to get up and sing in front of people all by herself.
