Unaccustomed as I am to public dealing--I have actually managed, by dint of
poor defs and bad guesses, to avoid it for six months--I have after
diligent dictionary digging unearthed a challenge for this round.

Da woid is:

* * * * * * * S T O U P * * * * * * *

Or stoup or Stoup or StOuP; doesn't matter. Your task is to create a
credible "definition" for it and send same along, directly to me by e-mail,
to arrive no later than 11:30 p.m. EDT on Friday, 25 May; that'll be 8:30
on the Left Coast, 10:30 for our Midwest players, and sometime very early
Saturday for you people across the pond (I'm never sure if it's a four-,
five-, or six-hour difference).

Enjoy!

The Saxon copiest and saint who founded a school of book production - it used not to be in Oxford but was taken over last century
