I take it that you're wondering why the "Re:" doesn't appear in
the subject heading. Sheer oversight! I handle my e-mail, both
reading and writing, in a very antiquated text editor (TSE, the
Semware Editor, in case you're interested) which has no such
thing as a "Reply" button.

So I do indeed type in the subject heading, not always including
the "Re:" On the other hand, I don't type in the [Dixonary}--I'm
guessing that the googlegroups.com software adds that.

Actually, the Re: isn't the problem. I worked with Judy Russell to
tweak the thread-matching feature at tapcis.com to handle both re: and
lack thereof. Your messages have threaded separately the past few
times, and the difference was the hyphenation: the original subject
had [space][dash][space] and when you retyped it the subject had
[dash][dash]

I thought perhaps you had software that took " - ", thought it was an
em dash, and then converted it to the "--" convention when it wrote
text. But perhaps that's just you doing the same thing!

Not a big deal, I think we've all learned to handle orphaned messages.
I was just curious!
