FWIW,

I use NoScript extension of Firefox. I let NoScript keep atwola.com at the default state, of being blocked. The banner ads do not display. The space where the ad would be is recovered (closed up) so more forum info appears in the browser window. So, less vertical scrolling needed.

I never tried any ad blocking software. My PC doesn't have enough horsepower to handle a lot of processes. I had been using Firefox to blacklist images from certain domains and Flashblock extension for Firefox to stop Flash from playing (but not from downloading). Of course, a blank area still appeared on my browser window where the image or the Flash movie would have been. But disabling scripts from atwola.com somehow or other actually also recovered the banner space.

Maybe to MS-DOS or LINUX.

Maybe to MS-DOS or LINUX.You could certainly do Linux, but a little more in the hardware department would help.
