This was a brilliantly selected word: a verb that looks for all the
world like a noun or adjective. Very nearly earned a D0, and no
wonder.

Hard luck on the D0

Congrats to Dodi on her 'near landslide' 9

(--- just for the record, I was a DQ)

Chris, Congrats on the almost-D0! That was a great
word!! Did *not* sound like a verb at all.

Toni,

Thanks to you and all for the wishes on the near-D0. I thought I had it
made until that last vote came in. One of the reasons I selected it was the
fact that it didn't seem at all like a verb. As John has said, he was the
only DQ which surprised me a little given that the word is related to
'queasy' and I thought more would tumble to that fact when the defs were
posted.

Oh well, it was actually a very smooth deal despite being on the road.
Fortunately the place we stayed had telephones in the rooms that actually
had modular plugs on the wall end so I didn't have to do any surgery to get
connected and as a bonus, there were even a couple of local numbers for
Earthlink. It is sure nice to be back to the cable modem, though. Even
avoiding as much as possible any graphics heavy web pages, a 26K dialup
connection seemed paralytically slow.

Thanks to all for making a very enjoyable round from the dealer's
perspective.

John,

There was once a country song to the effect that "if it weren't for bad
luck, I'd have no luck at all". <LOL> But I can't really say that since the
deal went so well otherwise. The summary has your DQ listed properly. I
don't know why it didn't come out in the long results listing but I'm sure
Mike will pick it up.

Chris
