Judy, I can understand how and why you're feeling that way at this point
(not entirely having to do with the game) but, NO, I don't think you should
abandon the round; I think you should continue as planned. There are a
total of 21 current players excluding the dealer. I don't know why there
were only 14 defs; apparently some DQs chose, for some reason, not to
submit defs--but that's certainly no fault of yours.

I think you should close the polls no later than your previously announced
time (10 p.m. EDT)--or earlier, if you like, if all of the 16 non-DQs have
voted before that. Again, if folks choose not to vote, that's not your
fault either.

Thank you for all your comments, Dodi. I hope nothing like this ever happens again! I knew that I had received three votes, but forgot (or perhaps didn't realize in the first place!) that the frontrunner was going to be unable to deal.

The dealer rules. If the dealer wants to abort the deal, the deal is
aborted. Anyone who disagrees should look at the rules. The first rule is
"the dealer rules."

went.

<< "the dealer rules."

Nice rule . . . too much pressure. LOL!

I have not seen the results of round 1796 nor any posts since March 31! Can someone clue me in on what's happening? IF you can email me the results of the previous round I can do the rolling scores at least.

Thanks,

Mike
