It often happens that a definition wins the deal not because it's so convincing, but because the competition is so uniformly unbelievable. I figure that must be the case when a Scots definition gets a landslide.

Barring too many DQs, the word for round 1784 shall be:

+
++
+++
++++
+++++ TARASSIS
++++
+++
++
+

or tarassis, case being irrelevant. If you know the word, notify me of your DQ status as soon as possible.

Please send your made-up, fictitious, fallacious or hilarious definitions to me by email at aabell $ compuserve.com before the deadline, below. If you're new to the game and are interested in playing, do NOT look up or google the word in ANY way! Instead, read the rules in the Coryphaeus Yahoogroups file area or the sticky messages in tapcis.com's The Parlor section.

The deadline for definition submissions shall be:

EST: 8:00am Tuesday 13-Feb-2007
PST: 5:00am Tuesday 13-Feb-2007
UTC: 2007-02-13 1300 Tuesday
