I believe 3, although I admit I might be falling for a scots def.

And I am intrigued as to what a geoduck is, so 5 gets my second vote.

These votes were made in accordance with the rules, not tactically!

And, following this vote, I may be incommunicado for 3 days as I
travel home from Kuwait! In the unlikely event that I win the deal, I
hereby defer in advance for the best possible reason.

Hi Chris,

I'll vote for #1 and #2, to prove I read them all (in reverse order)

> 1. A long-necked container, esp. for water, usually of porous
> earthenware so that its contents are cooled by evaporation.

> 2. A large, flat bottomed cooking pot used by nomadic Mongolians.

Best, Hugo

Thinking of all the strategic ways I might vote gives me a headache, though
I thank everyone who contributed them.

So, nonstrategically (as far as I know), I vote for 3 and 17, because-even
though it may be against the rules-I THINK it might be one of them.

Arrgh. (Off to take a Tylenol)

Bill-

Oh, hell, now I'm all confused again. I got the strategy, but I don't get
the tactics. And here I thought this was just a simple word game!

I'll go with 6 and 17, but it's a tough call.
