Public Message to Specific Person

Is there a way to send a public message to a specific person? I think I tried once, but the message ended up being private.

Not that I know of, no. Note that there is no "To" field displayed in the messages here.

As Lindsey said, the software doesn't provide for that -- but using the person's name to begin the subject line will probably work to alert someone!
