I had not received any messages, via Email, after Russ's vote. I
looked into this, and sure enough, Yahoo had detected a bounce and
turned off the feature that delivers group messages to my mailbox. I
have now fixed this.

What annoys me mightily is this: they show a hard bounce of group
message 8996 on 1/17. The previous bounce, according to their
statistics, was 2/4/2006. In my opinion, one bounced message every
year or so (practically) should not be cause for turning off the
forwarding by Email.

Further, it appears that Russ's message, which I got, was LATER than
the bounced message but I am not going back to check on it.

Even further, I went to the group and complained about receiving no
Emails, and SENT that message, but it is not in the list of messages.
I really don't care except that apparently once you have sinned
anything you try to post won't make it, and you get no notice or warning.

This message is being posted directly in the group.

Aplogies to everyone for the last couple of messages from me. Apparently
Yahoo, in its infinite wisdom, did not reactivate my Email options as
they were originally, instead deciding that I really wanted the "fully
featured" stuff. <sigh>

Actually, when you divide any number by infinity, it approximates zero. :)

What about transfinite Aleph-Null valued infinities ?????

As I remember, infinity times infinity is bigger than infinity, but A_ov times A_ov still equals A_ov ( in fact if my memory serves,
even dividing it by itself the answer is itself)

I admit it is several decades since I worked with that stuff so my memory could be adrift

However I do agree with you re Yahoo that - as my Dad would have said - "twice nowt is still nowt"

I don't know if the problem you refer to here is the same as what I've seen. But in OTHER Yahoo groups, I've switched from "web only" back to receiving email messages and it always seems to default back to fancy HTML digest and/or single mails unless I "forcefully bully" it to plain text.

This group is probably the same. I should have checked on that option
before exiting. Sigh!
