I create (more or less every 10 rounds) files of used words in both alphabetic and round order as text using the traditional DIX
extension, and more recently as TXT extensions. It is really no problem, I just press a button to produce the files. I also then zip
up all 4 files and post all 5 files on the coryphaeus webs site and on my own site. Paul also keeps the list up-to-date and provides
an exportable database on the coryphaeus site

I would be interested to know if it is worth continuing to do this - does anyone still want the text with the DIX extension? Does
anyone every download the zip? I'd appreciate your feedback - as I said, it is no hassle to do it, but there is no point in doing it
if no-one uses the files

It really doesn't matter to me -- as long as the lists are somewhere when I need them (and it's been a LONG time since I've needed them!!).

I've been using the files. or rather did the one time I dealt. I've been
away from the game for a long time and had no memory, obviously, of the
words that appeared in the intervening years. Nor, I'm sorry to say, do I
have any memory of the words that appeared back when I was playing before..

I download the files as WORDS123.TXT and WORDSABC.TXT. I don't think
I've ever used the 123 file though.

I greatly appreciate your effort in keeping the list of words previously
dealt current.

That doesn't mean that I download every file. Far from that. But when (if,
more like) I win the deal, it's great to know that I can download a fresh
file to doublecheck if a word I find has been used before.

I prefer the .txt extension. I personally have not used the ZIP. I'm not
even sure if it already existed the last time I downloaded the file <g>. But
even with the zip available, I'drobably just download the txt version and be
done with it.

Best, Hugo

I download the files every time you announce them. Though today I found I
couldn't use my 4NT script any more. Your server doesn't seem to like it; the
request just hangs. No problem using a web browser, but that's so...manual.

I like the .zip files, but could live with the text only ones.

I just download the .txt file when I get the deal (rarely) and ignore the
rest of them.
