Mine too. I've mailed CIS in Maastricht to say that I don't want to
pay them $9.95 a month anymore, so I imagine 73770.660 (AT) compuserve (DOT) com
will stop working in two weeks.

I seem to remember that CompuServe mail (which was then called
EasyPlex, a name that still seems strangely familiar <g>) set up an
internet gateway around 1990. If so, that makes it my second-oldest
email address. But I have few regrets about giving it up... it was too
ugly to become attached to.

I saw a couple of names in the tapcis.com directory that were in the old
numeric ID format. Apparently those people were attached to the numbers.
I will be cancelling my own CompuServe membership in a week or two,
allowing time for all the notifications I sent out to be received and
replied to. I've been a member for more than 20 years. I still remember
sitting at the kitchen table with my Radio Shack Model 100, having taken
the phone off the wall to get at the jack, the only one we had in the
house at the time. That was way before TAPCIS.
