Our inventive players have concocted all but one of the 20 definitions
for PLANXTY presented below for your edification and entertainment.
The remaining definition is, believe it or not, real.

Please vote for the two you think the best, for some value (or values)
of "good" that seems appropriate to you (such as plausible,
politically correct, embarrassing, witty, implausible, long, or as
chosen by a random number generator). You can do this whether or not
you have not submitted a definition, and whether or not you have
played before. You're not allowed to vote if you know the right answer.

Vote by public reply to this message, by the deadline, which, reading
from left to right, is on 5 December 2006 at

09:30 PST (in the morning)

Paul,

These run the gamut, so I'll try the alpha and the omega:

1. a rare blood disorder causing pain and swelling in the joints;
frequently misdiagnosed as arthritis or, rarely, hemophilia

and

20. a contagious disease of the horse, characterized by fever and by
pustular eruptions or pox, esp. on the pastern and fetlocks

Thanks,

Chuck

Well, after reading all the way through I didn't believe any of them, so I
will vote for the last two to avoid reading through the list again:

19 and 20, please.

It doesn't sound a bit Irish or Celtic, so I'll vote 4 and 11.

Hi Paul,

After carefully inspecting the list of defs, I am convinces that it has to
be somethin medical disease. Unfurtunately, that still leaves me with three
defs to choose from. My votes will go to these two:

> 15. a condition afflicting the hooves of horses

> 20. a contagious disease of the horse, characterized by fever and by
> pustular eruptions or pox, esp. on the pastern and fetlocks

(So if Murphy's Law holds true, it's bound to actually BE def #1...)

Best, Hugo

I don't believe any of them, but then I didn't believe the word was a real word. Looks like a typo. Anyhoo, I'll vote wildly for #8 and #18 for no apparent reason. Actually, one of those was a typo, but I'll let it ride.
