Nice job... and last night's game was one of the best I've ever seen (not tonight, so much, but last night... wow!).

Experience over youth; a cliche, but St. Louis was due and the Tigers are Greeaatt, but not quite there yet.

There have been interviews in which the theme was that to win, you need to do the routine things right. Don't go for the spectacular, just keep working on the ordinary.

the Tigers are Greeaatt, but not quite there yet.Too bad in a way... the way Kenny Rogers pitched, he should have a WS ring to show for it. He's not a young guy and may not be around when the Tigers do get there.

Don't go for the spectacular, just keep working on the ordinary.Absolutely right, and I think one of the reasons why the Yankees do so well all season long and then implode in the post-season. They keep shooting for the fences instead of working diligently on getting men on base and then moving them around the bases to score...
