If you meant 5 p.m. our time (that's what you said earlier; I assumed the
"EST" was in error--but if you really meant 5 p.m. EST, that would be 6
p.m. EDT, which is our current time system), then it would be 1700 hours.
If the deadline's now 1600 hours, that would be 4 p.m. ;-)

I meant 5:00pm EDT (if that is 5 hours behind me - its just 5pm now for me so 5 more hours)
I want a smaller world - only one timezone!!
I am glad I am not as confused by words as I am by numbers

Get Coryphæus. It will do the timezone arithmetic. It will even cope next
year, when Summer Time in the EU will start later and end earlier than DST
in the US.
