I clearly remember that *one* of the original tapcis denizens lived (lives?) in Homestead, Florida. But one advantage of knowing people online is that geography is usually irrelevant. Until, of course, it isn't.
I just found out that my sister-in-law is moving to Homestead, because my nephew got a job there. Ann wants to get him set up, especially since my nephew will have custody of his 10-year-old daughter. But she won't know anybody. And she's arriving without a job, which is never a lot of fun.
If nothing else, it'd be nice to know that I can connect her with someone who is sure to have a friendly smile. And hey, if someone can help Ann find a job -- she does your basic office work, and has also worked in nursing homes -- that'd be even cooler.
