As you may recall, Tony, I also have CompuServe e-mail. I play Dixonary
strictly via the Yahoo listserv (i.e., by e-mail), and there doesn't seem
to be any problem. Weird.

IIRC, most of the nonreceipt problems seem to involve the Website.

But it does affect Bill Hirst and myself for whom Tony voted -- I thought we had agreed that late arriving votes (as opposed to late
posted) would be credited but not allowed to affect a posted result in terms of next dealer etc.

Apart from my recent attempts to play from tapcis.com, only three others--Dave
Cunningham, Mike Shefler and Bob Stone--are currently doing so. Since the
missing messages are from more players than that, the blame cannot be laid
solely on the interface with tapcis.com. BTW, Bob's messages ceased coming to my
mailbox after 15 September and Dave's a couple days ago, but I am still getting
Mike's messages.

It seems the only sure way to play via mailing list is to use a Yahoo email
account, which apparently can now be accessed via POP3 or some other standard
protocol. That's nice, but I'm not sure a want to set up a whole new email
account just to play Dixonary. And playing at tapcis.com carries its own
annoyances and flakiness, as we have seen.
