Your collective imagination never fails to amaze me! Here are 18
off-the-wall defs for the word KRIOBOLY, only one of which came from
my dictionary. Vote for TWO definitions, as a public forum message

** KRIOBOLY **

1: refuse from winemaking.

2: the art of ice sculpture.

3: _Pol._ a sausage pudding.

4: a high-protein soybean hybrid.

5: [Rus.] a child's toy, similar to a top.

6: _Slang_ a corpsicle: i.e. a frozen cadaver.

7: in the Ukraine, a dry colorless brandy made from cherries or
plums.

8: a technique of cooking using very low temperatures. (also
_cryoboly_)

9: an intricate knitting technique that produces raised balls
(popcorn stitch).

10: (_Gk. krios_ cold, _ballein_, to throw) The act or practice of
throwing snowballs.

11: an early Aztec dental filling produced by pouring molten gold
directly into the cavity.

12: [Gr. Antiq.] a sacrifice in which many rams were slaughtered; a
bath in the blood of rams.

13: a system of dance notation first developed by Stravinsky to
accomodate the changing meters in his ballet "Firebird".

14: one who collaborated in the USSR invasion of Czechoslovakia,
1968 [Russianized rendering of Cz _krivol_ prostitute, sell-out]

15: _Med._ a disorder of the endocrine glands in which an imbalance
of hormones results in asymmetrical growth of the extremities.

16: _Archaic_ black bile; an emotional state characterized by
sullenness and outbreaks of violent anger, believed to arise from
black bile.
