Thanks a lot, Judy. My only vote--but way after the deadline! After I voted
for YOURS nice and early, too. :-(

Hi Dodi,

Better not jump to conclusions.

Here's an exerpt from the headers in the mail with Judy's votes:

> Received: from unknown (HELO ms-smtp-04.nyroc.rr.com) (24.24.2.58)
> by mta9.grp.scd.yahoo.com with SMTP; 5 Sep 2006 07:26:40 -0000
> Received: from Harriet (cpe-72-230-2-58.nycap.res.rr.com [72.230.2.58])
> by ms-smtp-04.nyroc.rr.com (8.13.6/8.13.6) with ESMTP id k84LEV88027180
> for <coryphaeus (AT) yahoogroups (DOT) com>; Mon, 4 Sep 2006 17:14:31 -0400 (EDT)

Looking at the times of receipt, there was a LONG delay (over 10 hours)
between the first and the second mail server that handled this mail. All
others (yes, there were others - Judy's mail appears to be handled by a
grand total of 10 mail servers) did their job in seconds flat.

It looks as if Judy voted in time, but some mail server didn't wwant you to
get your points <g>.

Best, Hugo

The "Harriet" thing refers to the registered user of the computer, my late mother. I didn't change over to my name because it would have involved too much work.

What was the cut-off time? I couldn't have voted until late Monday afternoon . . . if that helps any. I could check my recycle bin for the exact time if anyone is interested . . . or if it would make a difference.

I sent this at 5:14 p.m. on Monday, well before the deadline. <sigh> Looks like it was posted on the Web at 3:26 a.m. I have no idea why it took so long. That usually doesn't happen. And it was sent directly from my Road Runner account (i.e., not from one of my aliases). (It wasn't in my recycle bin after all.)
