John Barrs, you posted a message to the list, with the above header, not
containing any text.

Apparently the message was contained only in a binary attachment. Some of
us routinely discard all such, without reading.

Please re-send your message in plaintext.

Thanks.

(Most listservs in which I've participated warn people to use plaintext
only and not to send attachments. Some moderated lists remove any such
messages received.)

This requires a fuller explanation: Just in case the same happens again (ie a 'blank-to-you' message) I am also sending it to you
privately via a cc

Firstly, was it empty to anyone else? (it reflected back to me from cory/yahoo with textual content and no attachement)

Secondly, I personally have always discarded such attachments without reading ...so ....

Thirdly, In this context (ie Dixionary)

1. I am only using email via the cory/yahoo interface
2. my email software is set to compose in plain-text and to receive in plain text
3. I have changed nothing in my email software for weeks so if any message was different from all the others then the reason was
'something else'
4. marijke and I have located the fact that the same email software will send different messages in different ways... Specifically
using different code pages.... She sent two messages re words123.txt one arrived in a fixed font (sent in font= usa ascii) and the
other was sent in a proportional font using font=iso 8859-1 --- in other words sometimes we have little or no control over what
software does...(the difference between the two messages was that one had accented characters and the other didn't- the fixed font
one!)

So... While I am sorry you did not see my email, I am not sure what I can do about it
