Dodi,

That is the only place a full address shows: in the internet routing
text (as the From: address) delivered by email to list subscribers, all
of whom are approved by moderators and thus will likely not send SPAM.
(As a side-effect of this, some clients quote the "From" address in a
reply, and it ends up in the text of a message.)

WAD (works as designed). Only group *members* can get the list by email.
Spam harvesting robots can't sign up to the list, the moderators wouldn't
approve them. The worries center on what's visible on the web (which is
public for all to see).
