To my taste, Judy, Pedialyte has less of a "flavor" than Gatorade and was
therefore preferable. I should add that I kept them both in the fridge.

My doctor (whose subspecialty happens to be gastroenterology), in addition
to recommending the above, also suggested chicken broth and NONdiet soda.
The point being acquiring SOME nutrients without unduly challenging the
gut.

Anyway, if it's the same sort of bug I had, it should be pretty much over
within the next 24.

This is so unusual for me that it wouldn't occur to me to keep either in the fridge. <G> I *do* have some digestive problems, but nothing like this!

I had the impression that sugar wouldn't be a good choice -- although I stay away from diet soda anyhow. I guess chicken broth is good because of the sodium. I find that if I can *think* about a particular food and it appeals to me, it will probably be okay.

The worst is definitely over. My temperature wasn't down to normal this morning, but I seem to be able to eat . . . finally! I'm going to lie down for a little while, I think.

And life goes on . . .

Judy
