Dave, your entire message consisted of:

>> um -- doesn't that sort of defeat the entire system?

We're not mindreaders, fella, and this isn't the threaded CIS forum
anymore. Doesn't WHAT? A little quoteback wouldn't hurt.

Re your point below

I think Paul could change yahoogroups options so that a 'reply' would go to both... However, That wouldn't solve the problem - for
me this time I haven't yet seen the new word.... I've got it because I noticed reference to it from others and commented - then
others have emailed me with it and anyway I went on site to get it - but I still haven't had the original in my inbox.

Doesn't sending all the votes by email rather defeat the idea of a message board in the first place? Seems to me this is an argument in favor of finally choosing a specific board and not relying on anything else for votes.

Dave, you either didn't read my message or misinterpreted it. I didn't say to send votes only by email. I said to send them IN ADDITION TO posting them on the board.

And I suggested that if a player sees that his or her vote hasn't appeared on the list, he or she could *then* send it via private message. That would decrease the amount of duplicate emails that the dealer receives.

Actually, most modern clients will automatically combine the same email
(using the "message ID") even if recieved by multiple paths.

Not that I support sending the dealer a separate voting mail, though.
Although when dealing, I do usually try to send the results directly to the
new dealer.
