I know, I know.

Around here, the TV plugs started weeks ago!

We just had our primary election. The Democrat candidate for governor has a
huge amount of money. He is very rich, tho not as rich as Arnold. This
state now votes Democrat pretty solidly since Pete Wilson aroused angry
feelings in the Latino community with his attempts to deprive illegals of
any state services. From now until the Tuesday after the first Monday in
November, TV and radio ads, billboards and mailings will be horrendous.

Horrified in Holland

Flattery is like chewing gum. Enjoy it, but don't swallow it.

I just heard that Mayor Bloomberg spent more money in
last year's election than anybody in the history of
NYC elections. something like 85 million dollars.

But his commericals weren't ANNOYING. (And I think
that's only partly because he's my favorite politician
in the whole world at the moment). Makes more of a
difference than the amount spent.
