Judy, I guess I really am as lucky as I profess to be. The left eye was
caught in time for the first line of defense. <steroids> In just three days the
internal swelling is down and my vision returned to normal in that eye,
without obvious damage. I was fortunate for that cancellation and the quick
surgery on my right eye. If not for that, I may not have noticed until it was to
late. The edema is painless, it was only because I "asked" them to ck it when I
went to have the right eye patch removed that they realized that the vision
was fading. So much so that I couldn't even see the biggest letters on the eye
chart. A special test was done to photograph the inner eye. It does pay to
be pushy at times !!

I am so happy to hear that you are making out so well! And, yes, "it does pay to be pushy at times." It's *our* health that's at stake, and we're just one of many patients.
