View Full Version : [Dixonary] Round 1719 - Word: WATCHET
Tim Lodge
June 21st, 2006, 04:22 AM
As usual, I'm taken by surprise at winning with a throwaway def.
The word for this round is
*************
* *
* WATCHET *
* *
*************
As usual, no indication of capitalisation or otherwise is implied.
New players are welcome. Don't look in a dictionary. If you know the
word, let me know soon, by email (if too many people know it, we'll
pick another word).
Think up a creative, intriguing, funny or genuine looking definition
that will entice your fellow players to vote for it. Send it BY
EMAIL (not as a public forum message) to me at
iel7j001 (AT) sneakemail (DOT) com, before the deadline of:
20:00 UTC/GMT on Thursday 22 June, which is
21:00 BST
4:00 PM EDT
1:00 PM PDT
and 23:00 Charlie where Dan is, all on the same day.
Full rules, if you're curious, are in the files section at
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/coryphaeus/files/Game%20Rules%
20and%20Advice%20for%20Players/ .
Have fun!

Hi Tim,

Hmm, maybe that's the trick. Let me try a throwaway def this round <g>.

My def is an almost exact copy of Webster's def for nako:
[From the native name.] (Zo["o]l.) The gavial. [Written also wotchet.]
