By logging in to your Yahoo groups account and editing your membership
preferences, you can switch your email back from the "New & Improved" format
to the "Traditional" format if you, like me, don't appreciate the new
features.

Dan and Dodi
That shouldn't have affected mails from me - my membership has been set at 'Traditional' for a long time - and still is, I just
checked

John,
It doesn't matter who it's *from*. The new email format is a delivery
option you can set for messages you receive, regardless of who sent them.
The new features apparently allow for thread navigation and a few other
apparently nifty features (including, possibly, advertising). There may be
some users who like the new features. I preferred it the old way, and I'd
bet Dodi likes it without the extra HTML appended (although I won't speak
for her).
Speaking of betting, I heard some gambling sites are letting people wager on
whether the world will end today (6/6/6). I wonder how you will collect
your winnings should you happen to be right.

One might ask why Yahoo would decide to switch people to "new and
improved" without asking. I mean, if one chose NOT to use HTML, why
would Yahoo assume such a person really didn't mean it?

You can search right from your browser? It's easy and it's free. See how.
