Dan, it's me again.

I got this message tonight:

This came to my CompuServe Email address. I did not enter that address when
I rejoined the group. I didn't want that address added, in fact. I am going
to drop my CompuServe account and don't want that Email address anyplace.

Does the fact that this message came to me from the group to my CompuServe
Email address mean that somehow it is now in my profile there, thus undoing
literally hours of work that I did to try to synchronize with TAPCIS.COM?
If so, is there a way it can be corrected?

If not, I have to start over. I think at that point it will be easiest to
simply unsubscribe both identities in the group. Then when I post from
TAPCIS.COM the moderator will have to take action.

Guerri,

As you can see, your emails show as coming from compuserve.com. If
that address is not a member of this group, the message has to be
approved by a moderator.

I will remove that address from membership.

Dan, I am very confused now. I originally joined the group with a Yahoo Email address. In my profile, that appeared first. The next Email address was my Compuserve address, and it was marked as "primary" and was the address to which the group messages would be sent. I have been participating in the group for awhile now, and there's never been any indication that this was a problem until yesterday when I got the odd message that I cited. It was working OK even after the feed from TAPCIS.COM was installed.

Now I don't know what's happened but I am no longer getting messages from the group mailed to me at the CompuServe address. So I am writing this message from TAPCIS.COM's Parlor.

Yesterday I tried to create a new identity in the Cory group with the same Email address I use here in TAPCIS.COM. I did *not* let Yahoo create an Email address for that identity. So presumably the confirmation that I'd been added to the group under that identity would have come to the Email address I provided. But I had not seen any confirmation as of 7:45 p.m. EDT.

Is it necessary to have the same member name in the Cory group and the TAPCIS.COM site?

Perhaps at this point the easiest thing would be for me to unsubscribe all of my Cory identities and let the Cory moderator(s) which I guess is you now, figure it out.

The worst thing is that my votes may not be registered. I will Email them to Dodi.

I don't know about the confirmation, but from what I can see, you are now
registered at the Cory group as:

Member name: guerri2004
E-mail address: your name at the domain where the new web-based TAPCIS Forum
is located
Delivery option: No email

Nope. My member name at TAPCIS.COM is Hugo Kornelis (including the space);
at the Cory site, it is just hkornelis.

From what I see, changing the delivery option to either Individual Emails or
Daily Digest is the only thing left to do. You can do that yourself (using
the link I sent you in another message), or you can ask the moderators to do
it for you.

Your messages posted at tapcis.com are coming through just fine.
