I have to apologize to the players. I screwed up the voting deadline when I missed the "PM" on the 8:00 time. I had meant to close off the round this morning rather than this evening.

Anyway, in round 1711, 2 players earned top spot with 6 points: they were Daniel B. Widdis and Scott Crom. Daniel B. Widdis takes the deal with his natural 6 and Scott just misses the dealing honors..

There were 2 players in runner-up position with 4 points each: John Barrs and Dodi Schultz.

I was surprised to see 3 submitted defs involving coats but no DQs. Johnny's was so close that I combined it with the real def and left 2 others in a vain attempt to mislead. As 4 of you correctly figured, the true definition was 18: "A loose, full overcoat with raglan sleeves, originally made of rough woolen cloth." (American Heritage Dictionary 4th Edition) , leaving me with a D4.

With no further ado, I'll turn the ceremonies over to Dan and go watch the Yankees.
