View Full Version : [Dixonary] Setup for TAPCIS.COM

Dan, I have attempted to synchronize the TAPCIS.COM and Cory information.
The only way I could figure out to do this was to sign up again with Cory
without using my Yahoo accounts. When asked about Email, I unchecked the
box that said "create a Yahoo mail account" and gave it the Email that I
*think* is what's considered the "sign up" one for TAPCIS.COM. I am asking
Judy to confirm.

I may have missed something, but this morning I spent a long time in the
Yahoo group/Yahoo itself trying to figure this out. It appears that you can
*add* Email addresses, but you cannot delete them. This is a problem
because with my original sign up I included my CompuServe Email address,
and once I notify everyone about my new Email, I will be closing my
CompuServe account. But I could not find a way to delete that. And I could
not find a way to change the first Email address either (the one that is
not an alternate).

So my new account, if it works, is going to have ONLY an alternate Email
address. It may not work, of course.

This message ended up in the pending queue. If you posted it from
tapcis.com, your email there is your compuserve.com account, which I
just made a member.

I changed my Email on TAPCIS.COM yesterday, June 4th. I *think* I did it sometime in the morning, so I don't know why it is still showing as CompuServe. This is making me crazy!

I am posting this from the TAPCIS.COM forum, for whatever that is worth.

And it seems to work now. Were you sending the others via your TAPCIS software?

Prior to yesterday (Sunday the5th) I was getting Coryphaeus messages forwarded to my CompuServe Email, which I was reading with TAPCIS. Something happened, either yesterday or the day before, though, and messages stopped arriving, so I had to go into TAPCIS.COM to read them. I was intending to continue that way, but it's slow going because I have not yet figured out an efficient way to read the messages there (assuming there is one).

So this morning I went to Coryphaeus to see what was there, thinking that I would have to unsubscribe to get things straightened out. But someone, possibly you, had rearranged the order of the Email addresses there (I don't think it would allow me to do that). Anyway, I decided to experiment with getting messages delivered to my tapcis.com Email, which I read with the Thunderbird client (newly installed).

This message, and a few others today, are coming from the parlor. I figure I missed everything from the time I logged off last night and the time I reset Cory to deliver stuff by Email again, so I'm trying to catch up on those.

Thunderbird will thread the messages, which is helpful. And I think that replies that I write will get back here (tapcis.com) without breaking the threads.
