I tried to update macromedia flash player on my oldest computer. The install went thru but player was broken. Turns out I have windows 95 on this computer. Should have read the system requirements :(
I downloaded and ran the flash player uninstaller. Seemed to work ok, Now Firefox asks me to download plugin whenever a page as flash media on it, as expected.
Worst part is Internet Explorer (5.5) is broken too. Maybe the installer or uninstaller for flash hurt some registry entry for IE or maybe something else broke IE. I don't use IE much.
For now, I'll just leave the stuff broken since neither IE nor Flash is worth much.
