Yes, Dan, sure do. From long experience. John's been a frequent DQ.
Apparently spends his spare time browsing dictionaries. ;-)

I interpreted the post as an unintentional posting to the list, not a public announcement.

That appears to be a public announcement that #12 is the real def.
This clearly invalidates the word; I believe that Paul will need to pick
another word and deal again.

Well, I am also a botanist in one of my personnae -- and I grow this for winter decoration - The unimpressive muddy beige flowers
are followed by triangular seed-vessels, which, when ripe, open, disclosing beautiful orange-red coloured seeds. Impressive in late
autumn borders and they also stand for months as a dried cut stem.. The plant when bruised has a vague smell of roast beef and that
is another of its names. Very powerful purgative (and antihysteric) and the powdered root cures scrofula - known to medecine for
centuries - from Theophrastus about 350 BC [I have often wondered about some of the ancient the anti-hysterics - if you don' pull
yourself together we'll give you a full dose and clean you right out)
Meanwhile; apologies to everyone - especially Paul
Cheers, JohnnyB,
