Judy, re Email clients: I was thinking of Eudora or Pegasus. But for the
time being, I set up the Email feature in Mozilla. I will eventually switch
to Firefox as a browser and may then download Thunderbird for Email.
One thing I don't know yet is how Mozilla stores messages. I like a nice
file of text, or failing that, HTML. But I know Outlook puts things
together in its own format and Mozilla may too.

I use Thunderbird. It stores email as text. I love it.

FWIW, I've heard good things about Thunderbird also, although I haven't checked it out personally.

Phoenix^H^H^H^H^H^H^H Firebird^H^H^H^Hfox the browser (they had some trouble
with trademark issues :) and Thunderbird the email client are sister
programs in spirit, but they don't need each other.
You can install either one without the other, they're quite separate.
A bit *too* separate for some people's liking -- although they both use the
"gecko" rendering engine and a whole bunch of identical configuration files,
they put them in different directories rather than sharing the code. Taking
up extra disk space (still, a lot less disk space than some competitors).
