Presented for your amusement and edification are a score of potential definitions for DICTY, only one of which actually came from a dictionary. You now have the honor of casting two votes for the definitions you feel are either most likely, most creative, or any other criteria you may choose.

New players are welcome, even if you didn't enter a definition this round. Don't look in a dictionary.

The deadline for voting will be when I go to bed on Thursday night, no earlier than 9pm PST Thursday, March 30. That's midnight EST and 05.00 Friday morning UTC. Should all submitters vote, I may close early; and I'll accept votes late until the results are posted.

4 seems contrived and 17 doesn't.
