Hi,

I just joined this group and wanted to introduce myself. I have played the game, Balderdash, for a long time and found this group. Dixonary looks similar, and I would love to play.

I would like to watch for a little while to be sure I understand how to play the game. If anyone has any advice, I would very much appreciate it because I have never posted to a group like this before.

Thank you.

Suzanne

Welcome, Suzanne!

I only joined in fairly recently, myself. This game has been played
continuously for over 16 years, and we're nowhere near running out of
words.

You can get the general idea by watching, but to speed up the process,
I recommend looking in the Yahoo Groups file area under the "Game Rules
and Advice for Players" and reading one of the files named "The Real
Rules of Dixonary" (the different files with that title are the same
except for format). It explains many of the terms and traditions that
aren't in the Official Rules or elsewhere.

The most important rule is to have fun, needless to say. Jump in at
any time!

Welcome, Suzanne! You've joined a really nice group of people (if I may say so myself <G>), and I'm sure you'll enjoy playing Dixonary. Have fun!
