Being of French decent , I'll go for the 2 frog like defs. They just happen
to be my lucky numbers too. #3 & #7

I'll take 3 and 14 in case there are some warty titmouses (titmice?)

I have no idea so I'll join the mob.

May I have 7 and 3, please?

I was gratified to be able to answer promptly, and I did. I said I didn't
know.

This was a strange one. Only 1 initial DQ, later raised to 2, but two players whose non-DQ def matched a rare meaning for the real def - so I combined them. Interesting results, as well. Certainly not my best word, but I'm glad to move on.

The winner of round 1691 is Scott Crom, who submitted definition 3, which
earned a natural 8 .

There were 2 players in coveted second place with 6 points each: Toni
Savage and Mike Shefler.

The true definition was 7: "1. Belonging to the under side of the tip of
the tongue. 2. Pertaining to a frog; frog-like." (The Shorter Oxford English
Dictionary, 3rd Ed. 1965) , leaving me with a D6.

I voted for 3 and 14, not affecting the final result, but giving Scott an even bigger win.
