Looking back over the list, I guess it only seems like I've been dealing forever. I have a long ways to go to equal Toni's "luck".

In any case, barring DQs, the woid for round 1690 will be:

*
**
***
****
*****
******
******* ANLACE
******
*****
****
***
**
*

Capitalization is not significant.

I'm going to stretch deadlines a tad in honor of the weekend and in an attempt to avoid other committments so please submit your fake definitions for this word, by _email_ (ccarson AT ix DOT netcom DOT com), on or before the deadline, which is 7:00 AM EST on Sunday, March 05, 2006, or

6:00 AM CST
5:00 AM MST
4:00 AM PST
and Noon UTC .

If you are DQ, please advise as soon as possible so I can revisit the dictionary promptly.

Ah well, another sword (after RICASSO) - at least, I think anlace is a dagger (sons in historical re-enactment broadens ones
vocabulary in this area) - if so I will confirm a DQ and will not vote if any such definition appears

Meanwhile.

anlace: to dress poultry for roasting. one of a series of specialist mediaeval terms each applying to particular birds, in this case
a peahen. [from 'unlace']

New word will be along shortly. Don't feel too bad Johnny. You were the 2nd DQ and it wasn't looking good for the 2-edged medieval dagger anyway.
