The winner of round 1683 is Toni Savage,
whose definition "a fresh bud or shoot [OE]"
earned a natural 6.

There were 3 players in coveted second place with 5
points each: Chuck Emery, Nancy Shepherdson and John Barrs.

The true definition was 8: "_Lancashire dialect._ a creeping animal, such
as a woodlouse"
(Collins 4ed). One lucky guess just pipped me for a D0.
