OK-- wasn't TOO bad.
It turns out that the thing you will miss *MOST* about the old forum is being able to immediately get a list of messages that are only for YOU.
I got 224 parlor-related emails between the time I first posted the word. And only about 40 of those were directly related to the game, with maybe another 5 addressed directly to me about things indirectly related.
82 of those are still unread in my tapcis folder in my Yahoo mailbox.
I would suggest that the address is a MINOR thing compared to the SUBJECT matter! I think we all have to be very careful not to post in the wrong threads, or give messages misleading subjects in any way.
Everyone was very good about that this round, but let's not get lazy.
Also, if you write directly to a person about a forum subject, put the person's NAME in the subject. That way, if there's a lot of discussion going on about a topic, the person will know to open that message even if they are just too swamped to read the whole topic.
