Oh my! Judy gonna getcha! I doubt it.

Judy has been compelled to see the Light, and is no doubt preparing to enter a nunnery to repent of her many sins.

ROFL! Well we did all we could do. We let them win early in the season and then beat both the Eagles AND the Cowboys for them. Sigh!

So why does Ralph suspect you are going there then? Perhaps he should explain.

Mike Landi

What's with all of these offensive line penalties? And what is with this holding call that erased the TD??? New NFL rule, if you're a NY Giant, you cannot block a defensive lineman?

BLEAHHHHH!

Judy G. Russell

I dunno. The Giants have racked up more penalties this year than I can remember. I mean geez... remember the Seattle game???

Judy G. Russell
December 27th, 2005, 11:57 AM
I suspect Ralph is using the word in the 20th or 21st century sense rather than in the 17th century Shakespearean ("hie thee to a nunnery!") sense.

I was referring to the modern-day understanding of the word.

Or are you perhaps suggesting, by your construction, that the only way a Giants fan could expiate her misplaced loyalties would be to put her alabaster body on the market?

An interesting thought.

The world awaits--eagerly--your clarification.

Giants fans don't have to expiate their loyalties. Unlike folks who root for... say... the thugs of Dallas or (dare I say it?) Baltimore...

Mike Landi
December 29th, 2005, 01:38 PM
emember the Seattle game???

Do I have to? <wince>

<g> I'm sure he always will.

Now that we are in the playoffs, I guess tomorrow's game is near meaningless.

Not completely. The outcome may affect who we play in the opening round(s) of the playoffs.

Well, everything is set -- we play the Panthers in the first round next week; you folks have the first-round bye.

That's good! We have 4 starters with minor injuries and that will have given them 3 weeks to get back up to speed.

I've sort of lost traffic of the NFL. How are the Los Angeles Rams doing since the owner was murdered in the Florida surf?

Seems to me that they got washed inland quite a ways, Curm.

Haven't been able to stomach them since 'The Snake' left and we moved to Denver in '76.

As I have said for 30 years - 'Any team on any given Sunday, etc.'. Too close to make any calls.

Judy G. Russell
January 2nd, 2006, 09:38 PM
Too close indeed. I expect the Giants to get knocked out early: they've made it this far mostly by having other teams knock off their rivals. That doesn't work in the playoffs!

Truth is truth no matter how you cut it -- a lot of where the Giants are now is because other teams beat our opponents. If we move on (and I do think we'll beat Carolina), we'll have to do so under our own power.
