Here are 11 lovely definitions for NOAST, one of which came from a
reputable dictionary.
Vote for your two favorites no later than 10 AM, EDT, Saturday, August 25.

1. the occasion of the first full moon following the autumnal equinox.

2. [Maine] the area between Bar Harbor, ME and New Brunswick, Canada
along the Atlantic Ocean.

3. a fervent and potentially dubious claim of innocence.

4. in 'lost wax investment' metal casting, the sacrificial detailed wax
pattern of the desired finished part.

5. a wet mist or fog; esp. applied on the east coast of England and
Scotland, from Lincolnshire northwards, to a cold sea-fog.

6. a landing-place for boats.

7. the characteristic odor of a water-dwelling mammal such as a beaver
or otter.
